Dennies Lead Pal-Mac Past Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND-2 at PAL-MAC-19 - Pal-Mac rolled to a 19-2 non-league win over Grand Island (section VI) on Saturday at home, scoring 11 straight goals at one point and eight more in another run to put the game away early. Eight different players scored goals for Pal-Mac, and the win gives them a perfect 3-0 all-time record against Grand Island.
For Pal-Mac (2-0), senior Brandon Dennie and junior Jackson Dennie each had four goals, with Brandon adding five assists and Jackson three. Sophomore Max Hill contributed two goals and four assists, and Ryan Allen added four goals. Two milestones stood out: Brandon Dennie reached 50 career varsity assists, finishing the day with 53, and Hill reached 100 career varsity assists, ending with 103. Junior defensive midfielder Trevor Adams-Maroney scored his first varsity goal and senior Mason Delmarle picked up his first varsity assist. Junior goalie Drew Ikewood stopped seven shots for an 88% save percentage in 32 minutes, and sophomore Nathan Wood added two saves for 67% in 16 minutes.
