Brighton Score Many Against Greece

BRIGHTON-23 at GREECE STORM-1 - Brighton rolled past Greece Storm 23-1 Saturday in a non-league game at Arcadia High School, with freshman attackman Teddy Carl putting up 12 goals and one assist. Brighton jumped out to a 9-1 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, outscoring Greece Storm 14-0 the rest of the way.

For Brighton (2-0), senior midfielder Ben Marangola added four goals and one assist and junior midfielder Tim Tourangeau chipped in three goals and one assist. Sophomore attackman Austin Flaum contributed one goal and four assists. Three players earned their first varsity points — Carl picked up his first varsity assist, junior midfielder Quinn Huefner scored a goal and added his first varsity assist, and junior long stick midfielder Max Zwas recorded his first varsity assist. Senior goalie Logan Serve stopped three shots for a 75% save percentage in 28 minutes.

For Greece Storm (0-3), senior attackman Mitchell Barnes scored his first varsity goal, with sophomore midfielder Michael Atseff III picking up the assist. Greece Storm's faceoff unit was a bright spot, as senior Eric Odell went 19-for-23 (83%) and junior Jayden Jessmer went two-for-two (100%).    [ Story and BOX SCORE
