Bloomfield-Honeoye Defeats Blue Devils

BATAVIA-NOTRE DAME-2 at BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE-17 - The Pride wasted no time Thursday evening, scoring seven goals in the first quarter and never looking back in a 17-2 non-league win over Batavia-Notre Dame. The Pride kept the pressure on through three quarters before both teams played scoreless fourth quarters. The win moves them to 2-0 on the season.

Sophomore Brayden Arber was the standout for B-H, finishing with five goals and seven assists and reaching his 100th career point in the process. Freshman Brennan Thomas matched him with five goals and one assist, while sophomore Wyatt Hall added three goals and three assists. Freshman Liam Whiting contributed two goals and one assist, and Caleb Beadnell added two goals. Freshman Mason Whiting picked up his first varsity assist. Hall also won nine of 13 face-offs for a 69% rate. Sophomore goalie Ashton Breeze was sharp in net, stopping nine of 11 shots for an 82% save rate over 48 minutes.

For Batavia-Notre Dame (0-1), junior Trey Rodriguez supplied both offense and face-off work, scoring two goals while winning 12 of 20 draws for a 60% rate. Senior long-stick midfielder Aiden Kopper added the team's only assist. Nolan Radley put five shots on net for the Jaguars, the most of any Batavia-Notre Dame player.

Bloomfield-Honeoye travels to Brockport on a Thursday evening in early April, while Batavia-Notre Dame hosts Haverling on a Wednesday evening next week
