St. Francis Tops Aquinas 7-2
ST. FRANCIS-7 at AQUINAS-2- St. Francis (Section VI) traveled to Rochester for a 7-2 non-league win over Aquinas on Wednesday. The visiting Red Raiders scored four goals in the first quarter and never looked back, holding Aquinas scoreless in the second and third quarters. No stats were available from St. Francis (3-1) at post-time.
For Aquinas (0-1), freshman attackman Parker Wegman and freshman midfielder Kellan Campe each scored their first career varsity goals to account for both of the Little Irish's scores. Senior goalie Jake Gibson was solid in net despite the loss, stopping 13 of 20 shots for a 65% save percentage over 48 minutes.
Aquinas will travel to Thomas on Friday, March 27 at 5:30 PM. St. Francis will travel to McQuaid Jesuit on Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00 PM.
