Building on Strengths for 2025

The Bloomfield-Honeoye Boys Lacrosse team is ready for the 2025 season, following an 8-9 record last year. They lost four seniors, including key players like Jonathan Nelson who led the team in goals and assists and Liam Roach who was the second highest scorer, but are returning with strong talent.

Key Players and Roster Changes

This season, John Blair and Tyler Bruder, both rising seniors and All-League honorees, are expected to lead the team. The defense will be bolstered by returning All-League players like Michael Thomas, Henry Sherman, and Jason Ayers. Goalie Ethan Stoddard will aim to improve his save percentage from last season. The team will rely on face-off specialist Cody Whittaker for possession advantage.

Team Strengths and Focus Areas

Bloomfield-Honeoye scored 148 goals last season, with over half of them and 60% of assists coming from returning players. They need to find consistent scoring beyond their top performers. The defense, featuring Thomas, Sherman, and Ayers, is a key strength. The team had many close games last season, winning one and losing two by a single goal. 

Coaching and Expectations

Head Coach Joe Sidari, with a 14-20 record with the Pride, enters his third season. His experience will be crucial in guiding the team through the season and integrating younger players effectively.

Outlook for 2025

Bloomfield-Honeoye has the potential to improve on last season's record. With a mix of experienced and young players, they aim for a strong run in Class D and a deeper playoff push. Their performance will depend on adapting to the loss of key seniors and capitalizing on their returning talent.
