Haverling, Victor, Fairport, Newark and Brighton Win

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were thirteen games played today and five were close ones. Pittsford was a 8-6 winner over Penfield. Marcus Whitman defeated Brockport by a score of 4-2. Newark was a 8-7 winner over Bloomfield-Honeoye in double overtime. Brighton defeated Thomas by a score of 9-7.  Haverling defeated Bishop Kearney by a score of 10-9 and gave Head Coach Ken DiDomineck his 150th win.

HFL at CCHFL-17 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-2 - Ten different players scored goals for HFL in this game as the Cougars (13-1) extended their winning streak to eight wins. Grady Goodberlet (7g-1a), Chase Perryman (1g-5a), and Quinn Kailbourne (2g-3a) were at the top of the tally-sheet. Drew Angelo won 16+/0- = 100% at the faceoff "X" and Freshman goalie Jason Bennett recorded 11s/2ga = 85% (48 mins). SCHROEDER-8 at SPENCERPORT-4 - Schroeder took off after a 3-3 halftime tie and scored five goals while holding the Rangers to one. At the top of the scoring sheet for Schroeder were  Anthony DeRosa (4g-2a) and Nate Schilling (2g-2a). DeRosa also won  7+/6- = 54% at the faceoff "X" and in the goal Casey Berns recorded 8s/4ga = 67% (48 mins). HFL at CCCANANDAIGUA-15 at GATES CHILI-1 - Eleven different players scored goals for Canandaigua (10-4) who extended their winning streak to five. Senior midfielder John Windover, Junior face off midfielder Mason DePew, Junior attackman Lucas Buck, and Junior attackman Gavin Ducar each scored their first Varsity goal and joining the leaders in the game which included Jack Tanoory (2g-2a) and Sean Olvany (3g-1a). Faceoff specialist Mason DePew won 5+/2- = 71%, and Rowyn Heagney won 6+/2- = 75%. In the goal for Canandaigua senior goalie Tyler DeRue had 1s/0ga = 100% (24 mins). Junior face off midfielder Michael Alley scored for the Spartans. The game was ended after three quarters when the number of players for Gates Chili became low.    [ BOX SCORE

GREECE STORM-2 at HILTON-13 - Hilton (8-6) extended their winning streak to five wins with seven players making the offensive book including Freshman attackman Gianluca Auriuso (4g-1a), Senior attackman Chase Wilson (3g), Junior midfielder Braydon Pike (1g-2a), and Senior attackman Kevin Bell (1g-1a). Facing off, Michael Mitrano won 9+/1- = 90%, and Drew O`Buck won 6+/3- = 67%. In the goal for Hilton was junior Sam Guzzetta with 2s/1ga = 67% (36 mins), and sophomore Owen Harnden with 2s/1ga = 67% (12 mins). James Maccallini  and Carter Fabian each scored one goal and Andrew Hill added an assist for the Storm. HFL at CCPENFIELD-6 at PITTSFORD-8 - Pittsford took an early lead and led at the half 5-3. Both teams scored three goals in the third and neither team scored in the fourth. Leading the scoring for Penfield (9-5) were Senior midfielder Adam Schembri (1g-1a), Senior attackman Ethan Aust (2g), and Sophomore attackman Brodie Joyce (2g). HFL at CCMYNDERSE-7 at AQUINAS-14 - Sophomore attackman Tano Auriuso added seven goals taking his seasonal total to 50g-22a while Carter Wegman added (1g-3a), and Jake Guggino added (3g). In the goal for Aquinas, Jake Gibson recorded 10s/7ga = 59% (48 mins). Scoring for Mynderse (7-5) were Griffin Hilimire (4g-1a), Jack Brady (1g-1a), Phillip Love (1g-1a), Dylan Tandle (1g-1a), and Anthony Luffman (0g-1a).    [ BOX SCORE

FAIRPORT-9 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-4 - Fairport Sophomore midfielder Corey Roeser reached his 200th career faceoff win as he won 15+/2- = 88%. The Red Raiders led 6-1 at the half but R-H came back in the third with two unanswered goals to close the gap. Scoring for Fairport (7-5) were Mitchell Monte (2g-3a), Nicholas Fosegan (3g), Sam Pucci (1g-2a), Andrew Crowley (2g), and Andrew Coleman (1g). In the goal, Luke Ryan had 5s/4ga = 56% (45 mins), and Shane Vadney had 1s/0ga = 100% (3 mins). Rush-Henrietta saw scoring from Ronin Walker (2g-1a), Jackson Koppers (1g), and Andrew Coleman (1g). MARCUS WHITMAN-4 at BROCKPORT-2 -  Sophomore attackman Ayden Clark scored the last three goals of the game to give the Wildcats the win. Also making the book for Marcus Whitman were Tariku Blueye (2a), and Melkamu Blueye (1g). Facing off for Marcus Whitman was sophomore Cullen Kephart with 5+/2- = 71%, and senior Reiner Gallogly with 3+/0- = 100%. Brockport saw points from Ryan Miller (1g-1a), Tyler Davis (1a), and Javier Benzan (1g). In the goal for Brockport was 8th grade James Newton who was credited with 25s/4ga = 86% (48 mins).     [ BOX SCORE

HFL at CCIRONDEQUOIT-4 at VICTOR-8 - The Blue Devils won this game in the first half leading 6-2 at the break. With the win, they extended their winning streak to eleven (11-2). Leading the scoring for Victor were Junior midfielder Brody Secker (3g-1a), Senior midfielder Aiden Clinkscales (2g-1a), and Senior attackman Jack Herendeen (1g-1a). GANANDA-1 at GENEVA-18 - The Panthers (9-4) added to their winning streak, now at five wins as Sophomore attackman Ryland Dunham (2g-2a) reached his 50th career goal. Adding to the offensive tally were Sophomore midfielder Owen Devaney (1g) who scored his first Varsity goal and won 2+/1- = 67% faceoffs,  Jeremy Askin (3g-2a), Jack Dunham (2g-3a), Dakota Bajdas (3g-1a), and Max Heieck (2g-2a). Askin also won 15+/2- = 88% at the faceoff "X" and Paul Williams made 5s/1ga = 83% (48 mins) in the Geneva goal. HFL at CCBLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE-7 at NEWARK-8 in Overtime - Freshman midfielder Ashton Kepler (1g-1a) scored the game-winner in the second overtime period after the Pride led for most of the game. Sam Underhill scored four goals and John Camblin scored three goals for the Reds while Senior goalie Thomas Kirnie made 20s/7ga = 74% (56 mins). Leading the scoring for Bloomfield-Honeoye (6-6) were Jonathan Nelson (2g-2a), Liam Roach (2g), Cody Whittaker (1g-1a), and Cody Morse (1g). Whittaker earned his 300th faceoff win in the game. BRIGHTON-9 at THOMAS-7 - Brighton took a 4-0 first quarter lead but Thomas returned with five goals before the half which ended with the Bruins up 7-5. Both teams scored a goal in each quarter in the second half. Aksel Stanat  and Miles McGuire each scored three goals and Freshman midfielder Tim Tourangeau (1g-2a) and Senior attackman Corey Schell (1g-2a) added to the tally. Brighton goalkeeper Thomas D`Angelo was credited with 12s/7ga = 63% (48 mins). Thomas Sophomore goalie Joshua Jobson reached his 100th career save with his six saves in the game. Leading the scoring for Thomas were 8th grade offensiveman Jonah Jobson (1g-2a), Senior midfielder Jagger Altieri (2a), Junior attackman Brandon Trottier (1g-1a), 8th grade offensiveman Lucas Estelle (2g), and senior Logan Farney (1g) who scored his first Varsity goal for Thomas.    [ BOX SCORE

HFL at CCHAVERLING-10 at BISHOP KEARNEY-9 - The Rams won their first game of the season and gave Head Coach Ken DiDomineck his 150th win. The game was close throughout with the teams tied at 5-6 at the half. Scoring for Haverling  were Maclain Wright (3g-1a), Drew Spears (1g-3a), and Connor Brundage (3g). Also scoring goals were Noah Schneider (1g), Cameron Boyer (1g), and Jacob Ingram (1g. Haverling sophomore goalie McLane Stermole had 14s/9ga = 61% (48 mins).
