Senior Midfielder, Mitchell Standera recently announced his verbal commitment to attend school and play lacrosse at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.

The midfielder ended the season with 24 goals, 37 assists and 34 groundballs. Mitchell was a member of the 2013 Class A NYS Semifinalists. He was named to the first Team Monroe County Division 1 and was the 2013 Class A Section Most Valuable Player. He was selected to the Brine HS All-American representing Rochester, NY. He has been a NYS Scholar Athlete for three years.

In the off season Mitchell has played for both the Penfield Team and The Blaze Lacrosse Club. Blaze Elite was named Champions of the MVP Tournament at The University of Delaware this past summer.

The Red Foxes are a NCAA Division I school and are led by Keegan Wilkinson, in his 4th year as Head Coach. They finished the 2013 season as MAAC Co-Champions with a record of 10-4.
