Thomas Holds on for Win vs C-C

Wednesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Thomas scored the first six goals in their 11-10 win over Churchville-Chili.  Although the Titans led by six twice during the contest, the Saints kept the game interesting in the fourth.  Churchville-Chili came within one goal twice in the final quarter, but could not tie the game.  Their tenth goal was scored with 3:04 remaining, but they did not get the needed eleventh goal before time expired. Seven players made the offensive book for Brighton (11-2) as they beat visiting Irondequoit 15-11. Casey McDermott led the Baron scoring with 3g-2a and Owen Ronchetti added 4g. The Barons play Churchville-Chili on Saturday. There was no report from Irondequoit at post time.

Penn Yan at GenevaRush-Henrietta had the lead at the end of the first quarter and also at the end of the first half, but Hilton caught up with two unanswered goals in the third to take the lead (6-5) at the end of the third quarter. Both teams scored five goals in the last quarter with Matthew Mojsej (3g) scoring the last Hilton goal with 1:47 left in the game. Nick Cowie had 3g-1a and Zack Lenhard and Gunner MacMillan each has 2g-2a for the Royal Comets (8-7) who will finish their regular season with Eastridge on Tuesday. Hilton (10-4) will play Williamsville East on Friday.

Conner Finger (2g-3a) led the Mustang offense, with Colt Smith and Ayden Mowry each adding 3g-1a as the defeated Geneva 12-6. Jeff Kinyoun had 7s (54%) in the cage for Penn Yan (9-4). Nick Askin had 3g-1a to lead Geneva (11-3).

Also winning today were Wayne, Livonia-Avon, Brockport, Pittsford, Victor, Canandaigua, Fairport and Spencerport.
