The Gates Chili Spartans have a new Head Coach for the 2019 season, as Cam Gormel moves up from assistant to take over for Jake Johnson who will start working at the youth and modified programs, in a effort to build from the bottom up.

Coach Gormel is a product of the Gates Chili school district, having played three years on the Varsity as a midfielder until his graduation in 2010. He then went on to play at Keuka College where he eventually became a goalie.

After finishing his teaching credentials at SUNY Brockport, he worked at a number of schools before returning to Gates Chili.
