McQuaid Jesuit senior midfielder, Jarrett Cook, recently announced his decision to study and play lacrosse at Mercyhurst University after graduation next spring.

At the start of his third year on the Knight Varsity, Jarrett has accumulated fifty-five points (44g-11a) after a breakout junior year (32g-7a). For his effort he was named to the first midfield all-league list. He scored points in sixteen of eighteen games last season.

Mercyhurst University (Erie, Pennsylvania) has attracted many Section Five players for their nationally recognized NCAA D-II program. In the 2014 season there were sixteen Section Five players on the roster, playing for Head Coach Chris Ryan who is an Irondequoit alumnus and in his thirteen years with the Lakers is 153-34.
