Senior defenseman Alex deNormand has announced his decision to attend and play lacrosse for the Alfred University Saxons after his graduation from Victor High School next spring.

With 1g-1a and 24gbs last season he was named to the honorable mention list (MC-d2).

In the off season he played with the SweetLax Lacrosse Club. He played in the Baltimore Kick Off, Long Island Lax Fest, Legacy and Sweetlax Invitational tournaments.

Before making his decision, Alex considered attending Clarkson, York and the University of Indianapolis.

Alfred University is an NCAA division III program playing in the Empire 8 conference under Head Coach Jason Lockner who has a career record of 122-106 (75-40 at Alfred over the last seven years). Among the Section Five players on the roster are a dozen players including four from Canandaigua.
