Friday: Aquinas and B-H Win

Two games down and two games left for Section Five teams, as Aquinas beat Livonia 6-4 and Bloomfield-Honeoye beat Bishop Kearney 18-9 this afternoon.

 -- It was Aquinas over Livonia this afternoon as, on senior night, the Lil Irish held on to a one goal lead at the half to win 6-4, capturing the GRALL championship in the process.

The game was close throughout, with Aquinas scoring two unanswered goals in the first quarter and both teams scoring one more before the half time break. The Lil Irish repeated their goal-scoring with two more in the third and one more in the last quarter. The Bulldogs mounted a come-back in the last quarter but were unable to take it to a tie. Sophomore goalie Ethan Jamison kept Livonia in the game, making many spectacular saves, but the Aquinas offense was able to maintain the needed possession time.

Aquinas finishes their regular season at 13-3 and Livonia finishes at 9-7.

Bloomfield-Honeoye 18 - Bishop Kearney 9

  --  The Pride scored a steady stream goals each quarter on their way to an 18-9 win over Bishop Kearney this afternoon at Brother Clark field in Irondequoit.

Ten different players scored for Bloomfield-Honeoye (13-3) led by senior attackman Luke Anderson (5g-4a) and sophomore attackman Luke Blain (3g-2a). Aaron Stevens made 12 saves in the goal for the Pride.

Sophomore attackman Andrew Chadwick scored 3g-2a for the Kings.
