The first State poll is out today and ten Section Five teams made the list sponsored by the New York State Sportswriters Association.

Thomas makes the number 10 spot in Class A with Fairport at (#12). Penfield and Pittsford made the honorable mention list.

In Class B, Irondequoit placed 7th and Canandaigua placed 15th and Brighton made the Honorable Mention list.

In Class C, Penn Yan is in the 5th spot while Aquinas places at (#9). Midlakes took and Honorable Mention in Class C.

The top spots in week one went to West Genesee (Section 3) in Class A, Lynbrook (Section 8) in Class B and Cold Springs Harbor (Section 8) in Class C.
