A group of Irondequoit lacrosse fans have announced that they are working to raise funds in the name of George Boiardi, the Cornell lacrosse player who died earlier this season. Over $2,000 has been raised thus far and donations are encouraged.
   
The group is planning a cocktail party with hors d'oeuvres, in honor of George, on Saturday night, May 8th from 7:30 PM - 11:00 PM at the Cooper Deli (Corner of Titus Avenue and Cooper Road).

Tickets need to purchased ahead of time and are $25/person or $35/couple. Tickets can be purchased from Al Kerstein (266-0687), Carroll Johnson (544-8161), or at the Cooper Deli.

If you can't make the event, please think about sending a donation to:

Al will then forward the donations on to the people at Cornell.
