Spencerport scores Nine of Ten straight in Win

Spencerport scored nine out of ten straight goals to defeat Greece Storm 10-6.  The Rangers were led in scoring by Mark Schnauber with 2g-2a.  Seven players made the offensive book with six of the seven scoring more than one point.

The Rangers fell to a four goal deficit in the first ten minutes.  The Storm had four different players scored their first four goals.  Nicholas Leonardi, Trevor Gilliard, Matthew McHale and Paul Forte each added one unassisted goal to open the game. Spencerport scored their first goal with only 1:49 remaining in the opening quarter with Schnauber assisting Cam Nitti.  In the second quarter, the Rangers held the Storm scoreless while adding four of their own to take the first lead of the game going into halftime.

Greece scored the first goal of the third quarter to tie the game at 5-5 with Tyler Flanagan assisting Gilliard.  Spencerport responded with three more goals in the third quarter.  Midfielder Jack Lehtonen finished with 3gb and 3 takes for the Rangers and Owen VanWie was 9/14 at the face-off draw.  Defenseman Matthew Peters led in takes for Greece with 2.
