As previously reported, Canandaigua will be hosting a Shootout for Soldiers event, a twenty-four hours event that will begin on Saturday, July 22nd and will end on July 23rd.

Each one hour game (within the game) will contribute to a running score. The game, "is for fun! It's not a tournament or about recruiting. It's all about supporting those who serve or have served our country."

The Canandaigua lacrosse community is experienced and well organized, but an event of this magnitude requires all kinds of help and the Rochester Area is invited to help out. There are opportunities that include:

• Greeters
• Time Clock & Music "DJ"
• Concession Stand
• National Anthem singers or players
• Hospitality Shuttle
• Setup & Tear Down
• Veterans Hospitality & Information Center
• Fun Zone / Movie Area
