The game was tied four times and featured five lead changes in the fourth quarter alone. Victor led 11-8 with under five minutes to play before Pittsford scored three goals in 88 seconds, then survived a Victor response to win on Grant Lewis' goal with eight seconds left.

The night also featured three career milestones: Cole Goetz reached his 50th career assist, Victor's Eli Ricci reached his 50th career goal, and freshman goalie Bear Wehrheim reached 200 career saves.Luke Jutzin and Trevor Nally each scored four goals for Pittsford, and Grant Lewis added three goals and three assists.

Jahyden Maiorani contributed one goal and two assists, and Cole Goetz distributed two assists. In goal, Wehrheim made eight saves on 20 shots over 48 minutes.
