# 1259 Penn Yan Wins 22nd Title Penn Yan won their twenty-second Section Five Title (seventh consecutive) with a 13-6 win over Waterloo. The Mustangs scored the first four goals and held the Indians scoreless for the entire first quarter. Waterloo scored four of the last five goals to pull the score closer than the game played. A key component to the Mustang victory was midfielder Connor Fingar at the face-off draw. Fingar won nearly all the face-offs and was named Class D All Tournament MVP. |

The game was close for the first half before the Indians took off in the second half. Waterloo held the Reds scoreless for the final 32 minutes, while adding three of their own. Parker Casselman and Forrest Blondell scored for the Reds. For Waterloo, Derek Excell (3) and Adam Jenson (4) led in the ground balls count. George Williams recorded 15 saves (88%) for the Indians. |

Mike Denely from Bloomfield-Honeoye was named Assistant Coach of the Year and Mark Crane from Mark`s Pizzeria was named Man of the Year. |
