Wayne Advances After Win Against Lakers

Wayne overcame an early deficit to defeat Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 11-7 in the Section V Quarterfinals. Mason Michel led the way with four goals and one assist, while Shane Coleman contributed three goals and five assists. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo was led by Rider VanZandt with three goals and two assists. In goal, Wayne's Gavin Hamel recorded nine saves with a 56% save rate, and Livonia-Avon-Geneseo's Colton Rose posted 15 saves at 58%. Wayne's strong second-half performance secured their advancement in the tournament.

Lakers Pull Away Late for Win

Livonia-Avon-Geneseo won a back-and-forth game against Marcus Whitman, finishing 15-10. The teams traded leads and tied six times before Livonia-Avon-Geneseo’s third-quarter scoring burst shifted momentum. Will Schweitzer (five goals) and Max McEnerney (four goals) led the scoring effort, while Rider VanZandt excelled at faceoffs. Marcus Whitman’s Ayden Clark netted seven goals in a strong performance. Goalie Colton Rose finished with an 11-save, 52% effort, securing the victory.
