Two More Freshmen Make D-I Commitments
The Sweetlax Lacrosse Club announced their eighth and ninth freshmen to make an NCAA Division I commitments.
Sutton Boland, a freshman from Victor, announced his commitment to Penn State University after his graduation in 2019. A defenseman who, in the off season he plays for the SweetLax Lacrosse Club played with them in the Big4, Sweetlax Invitational, Sweetlax Uncommitted Showcase and Sweetlax All Star Game. He also played in the Liberty Bell, Maryland Young Guns and Inside Lacrosse tournaments.
Sutton also considered the University of Virginia, Michigan and Maryland before ultimately deciding to become a future member of the Penn State Nittany Lions.
Midfielder Tim Lischer announced his decision to commit to the University of Michigan following his graduation from Livonia in 2019. As an eighth grader with the Bulldogs, Tim registered 15g-5a and picked up 55 ground balls. In seventeen games, he forty-five face offs (54%).
Tim competed with Sweetlax in the Big4, Sweetlax Tournament and Sweetlax Uncommitted Showcase. He played in the Sweetlax All Star Game and the Liberty Bell Tournaments. He also played the the Maryland Young Guns and Inside Lacrosse Tournaments.
Tim also considered UVA, UNC, Maryland, Penn State, Syracuse and Albany before selecting Michigan, who moved from club status to a Division I program in 2011 under long-time coach John Paul.
