Kaye's Goal with 16 Seconds Left Lifts Spencerport

CANANDAIGUA-5 at SPENCERPORT-6  -  Spencerport edged Canandaigua 6-5 Wednesday evening in a non-league game, moving to 9-5. The game was tied four times, with Brody Kaye scoring the winner with 16 seconds left. Senior Zach Tortora reached 200 career goals in the win, finishing with two goals on the night. Canandaigua falls to 6-9.

Patrick Keady and Tortora each scored two goals for Spencerport, while Harding and Kaye each added one. Tyler Wentworth contributed an assist. In goal, sophomore James Newtown made 10 saves on 15 shots (67%) over 48 minutes.

For Canandaigua, Kyle Farrington scored three goals and Patrick Olvany added one goal and two assists. Landon Mortier scored one. In goal, senior Quentin Shedrick made seven saves on 13 shots (54%) over 48 minutes.

Spencerport travels to Honeoye Falls-Lima on Friday. Canandaigua hosts Corning on Saturday.
