Johns Hopkins University picked up another early recruit in Brighton rising freshman Casey McDermott, who will still get four more seasons with the Barons before moving south.

In his first year on the Brighton Varsity, Casey recorded 21g-19a as an eighth grader. He produced points for the Barons in sixteen games last season and made goals on 62% of his shots on cage.

Last summer, Casey played for the Sweetlax Florida Lacrosse Club and played in eight tournaments including he Battle in Baltimore, the Sweetlax All Star Game, the Under Armour Game, Naptown, Maryland Young Guns and the Showtime tournaments.
