Pal-Mac Opens Season with a Win
Pal-Mac opened its season with a 13-1 non-league win over Churchville-Chili on Saturday, March 21. The Raiders scored three goals in the first quarter, then added four more in the second to pull away. Junior Drew Ikewood was sharp in goal, stopping 11 of 12 shots for a 92% save percentage over 48 minutes.
Leading the offense for Pal-Mac (1-0) were sophomore attackman Max Hill (4g-3a) and junior attackman Jackson Dennie (4g-1a), who combined for eight goals and four assists. Senior attackman Brandon Dennie added one goal and three assists, while sophomore attackman Reid Diehl contributed two goals and two assists. Sophomore midfielder Branden Thomas chipped in two goals, and sophomore long stick midfielder Joey Hagen recorded his first varsity assist. For Churchville-Chili (0-1), Jack Sloan scored the Saints' only goal on a feed from Jaxson Leonard in the first quarter. No further stat report was available from Churchville-Chili at post-time.
