Newark Over Haverling
Newark secured a 21-9 victory over Haverling in a non-league matchup at home on Thursday evening. The team started strong, scoring seven goals in the first quarter and six more in the second. Leading the offensive effort was senior Sam Underhill with nine goals and two assists, followed closely by sophomore Evan Shulla, who recorded seven goals and one assist, reaching his 50th career goal milestone. John Camblin contributed three goals, while Cameron Baker and Conley Arbogast each added one. Assists also came from Darrien Streeter and Lucas Young.
Haverling managed three goals in the opening quarter but was limited to just one in the second. Although the team saw a slight boost in the third with four goals, they finished the game with one in the final period. No individual scoring details were reported for Haverling. Newark’s goalie, senior Carter Bumpus, played the full 48 minutes, making ten saves on 19 shots for a 53% save rate.
