DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - Six games lit up the scoreboard today, with two delivering nail-biting finishes. Churchville-Chili outlasted Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 10-8, fueled by William Morgan’s offensive firepower and a stellar performance by goalie Dominic Marra. Meanwhile, Haverling edged Gananda 13-12 in a dramatic back-and-forth battle, with Colegrove netting six goals and Stermole making clutch saves down the stretch. Elsewhere, Newark, Spencerport, Bloomfield-Honeoye, and Mynderse-Romulus secured decisive victories, showcasing dominant offensive performances and milestone achievements.
LIVONIA-AVON-GENESEO-8 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-10 - Churchville-Chili secured a 10-8 win against Livonia-Avon-Geneseo in a closely contested game, pulling away in the fourth quarter. William Morgan led Churchville-Chili with four goals and one assist, while goalie Dominic Marra made 14 saves with a 64% save percentage. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo’s top scorer was Max McEnerney with four goals and one assist, and goalie Colton Rose reached 500 career saves, stopping 21 shots at a 68% rate. [ Story and BOX SCORE]
NEWARK-16 at BATAVIA-NOTRE DAME-3 - Newark defeated Batavia-Notre Dame 16-3, led by Sam Underhill’s seven goals and three assists. Tristan Harris and Evan Shulla contributed to the scoring, while sophomore Miguel Olivera Plain recorded his first Varsity goal. Newark’s goalie, Carter Bumpus, posted a 75% save rate. GANANDA-12 at HAVERLING-13 - Haverling overcame an early deficit to win 13-12 against Gananda in a back-and-forth game. Colegrove led Haverling with six goals, while Gananda’s Smith and Daciw provided strong offensive efforts. Stermole’s 60% save rate helped Haverling secure the win in the closing minutes. GREECE STORM-7 at SPENCERPORT-21 - Spencerport won their non-league game against Greece Storm with a 21-7 score. Leading the offense were Zach Tortora with six goals and three assists, and Jamison Brown and Gavin Brown with five goals each. Greece Storm was led by James Maccallini with four goals. Spencerport’s Sam Morgan recorded an 80% save rate. Spencerport led early and maintained control throughout, improving their record to 8-6 ahead of their next game against Schroeder. GATES CHILI-7 at BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE-18 - Bloomfield-Honeoye defeated Gates Chili 18-7 in a non-league matchup. John Blair led Bloomfield-Honeoye with six goals and six assists, while Jayden Maryjanowski scored four goals for Gates Chili. Goalie Ethan Stoddard had eight saves with 53% efficiency. Seven players contributed to Bloomfield-Honeoye’s scoring, and multiple athletes surpassed the 50-goal mark. Both teams will play again on May 21st. MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-13 at WATERLOO-6 - Mynderse-Romulus pulled away after a close start to defeat Waterloo 13-6 in a non-league lacrosse game. Griffin Hilimire led Mynderse-Romulus with five goals and three assists, while Waterloo's Caden Shangraw scored three times.
