Meanwhile, Wayne narrowly defeated Mynderse-Romulus 14-13 in an FL-D1 league battle, with standout scoring from Tas Strickland and a clutch performance by eighth-grade goalie Gavin Hamel. The remaining matchups saw dominant victories, including McQuaid Jesuit extending their streak against St. Joseph’s, Penn Yan celebrating milestone goals, and HFL powering through with a commanding 14-2 win.
ST. JOSEPH`S-2 at MCQUAID JESUIT-6 - McQuaid Jesuit earned a 6-2 win over St. Joseph's, with junior Domenic Giangreco leading the scoring with three goals. Senior goalie Jack Rawleigh made eight saves and posted an 80% save rate. The win marks the team’s fifth consecutive victory against St. Joseph's. McQuaid Jesuit will host Rush-Henrietta on Thursday.
