Kevin Sanna Signs NLI for Hartford
"It is a great school. I loved the coach. I like their business school a lot. It's very nice," stated Pittsford seniordefenseman Kevin Sanna about his decision to sign his National Letter of Intent to play at Hartford University. His top four schools were Hartford, Fairfield, Cornell and Delaware. "I picked Hartford because I loved the coach and the school. It was the best school [for me] that I looked at."
Although he saw limited playing time in his freshman year at varsity, it was conversations with Head Coach Andrew Whipple the next year that helped him to realize his potential. "Coach Whipple would talk about it and I thought if I work hard enough and do the right things I can get there."
He says his size and footwork are his strengths and he is planning to work on speed before getting to Hartford next fall. "Coach [Peter] Lawrence says that I have a chance to play in my freshman year if things go well." He spent some time on his official visit with Brighton graduate, Dan Piece who is playing for the Hawks. Four Canandaigua Academy graduates are also playing at Hartford this year. Jake Vogl (Aquinas) has also committed to Hartford next fall.
