Irondequoit Coach Aaron Bottazzo wins 50th
Irondequoit delivered a solid performance against Schroeder, winning 12-1 in their MC-D2 league game. Seven players scored for Irondequoit, led by Cooper Moore with five goals and two assists. Dylan Carey contributed two goals and one assist, while Colin Giudice added one goal and three assists. Other scorers included Steven Clinkscales, Sam Thore, Doug Velepec, and Andrew Scully, who had one goal each. Senior goalie Sven Habitzreuther was key in the net for Irondequoit, making 11 saves with a 92% save rate over 48 minutes.
Schroeder`s lone goal came from Jonny May in the final quarter. Goalkeeper Van Bolton played 44 minutes, recording 18 saves with a 60% save rate. Ben Cashman also saw time in goal, making one save in four minutes without conceding any goals. Despite their effort, Schroeder struggled offensively, with twelve shots on net but only one finding its mark. Irondequoit’s Andrew Scully excelled in faceoffs, winning twelve out of sixteen attempts, contributing to his team`s possession advantage.
