Thursday: Thomas Takes Irondequoit, Pittsford Takes Rangers

DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - In a very close game throughout, Thomas was a one goal winner over visiting Irondequoit. Pittsford had a close win over Spencerport, Victor had a close win at Brighton and Pal-Mac defeated Geneva 8-6.

IRONDEQUOIT-4 at THOMAS-5 - In a low scoring game with three ties, Joseph Tiberio scored on a feed from Jagger Altieri with 2:59 left in the game for the Titan win. Scoring for Thomas (4-7) were senior attackman Jack Burns (2g-1a), junior attackman Joseph Tiberio (2g), junior midfielder Jagger Altieri (1g-1a), junior midfielder Reid Doolittle (2a), and sophomore midfielder Jake Polizzi (1a). Irond at ThomasVICTOR-10 at BRIGHTON-8 - In a close game with three ties, Victor scored three goals in under two minutes, and faceoff specialist Sam Ricci reached his 500th faceoff win (now 509) with his 17+/3- to give the Blue Devils lots of ball time. Victor extended their winning streak to 10 wins (11-1) as senior midfielder Thomas Gravino reached his 50th assist with his two assists (now 50th) (and four goals). With the score 10-6 with 6:39 left in the game Brighton scored two goals in under a minute but fell short. Scoring for Victor were Gravino (4g-2a), Sam Gotham (3g), Pax Marshall (1g-2a), Ethan Adrid (1g), and Jack Herendeen (1g). Victor is at Baldwinsville on Saturday.

Irond at ThomasEAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-2 at HILTON-15 - Nine different players scored goals for Hilton including senior attackman Owen Hazard who scored his first Varsity goal. Leading the scoring for Hilton (7-6) were Chase Wilson (4g-1a), Braydon Pike (2g-2a), and Aiden Cawley (2g-1a). Faceoff specialist Drew O`Buck won 10+/0- = 100%, and Michael Mitrano won 6+/3- = 67%. In the goal for Hilton was senior Ryan Douglas with 4s/2ga = 67% (48 mins). MARCUS WHITMAN-11 at MYNDERSE-2 - The Wildcats took a 4-2 lead in the first quarter and then shut down the Blue Devil offense for the rest of the game. Penn Yan at HFLPENN YAN-8 at HFL-12 - For the first time in their seven-game history, the Cougars beat Penn Yan with steady scoring throughout the game. HFL led 7-3 at halftime and Penn Yan scored five goals in the third, but that was the end of their scoring. Leading the scoring for HFL (9-2) were Chase Perryman (3g-3a), Patrick Donahoe (3g), and Quinn Kailbourne (2g). Braydn Trybuskiewicz reached his 50th goal with his 2 goals (now 51g) Facing off for HFL, Drew Angelo won 21+/3- = 88%.

PAL-MAC-8 at GENEVA-6 - Pal-Mac extended their winning streak to 9 wins (10-2) in the game that was close at points. Pal-Mac led 3-1 after the first quarter and 5-1 at the half, but then the Panthers scored five goals in the third, before the Red Raiders shut them down in the last stanza. Schroeder at RHGREECE STORM-5 at PENFIELD-13 - The Patriots scored three unanswered goals in the first quarter and then six goals in the second to lead 8-2 at halftime. PITTSFORD-8 at SPENCERPORT-7 - Pittsford had a five goal run at the start of the game, but let the Rangers back in as they score the next four Avery Valenti  broke the 6-6 tie with 3:36 left in the third, but less than two minutes later Trevors Lewis tied the game at 7-7. In the fourth quarter Rex Kesselring scored on a feed from Valenti with 11:00 left in the game and it was the last goal scored. Pittsford (10-2) saw offense from Ben Steingass (3g), Valenti (2g-1a), Kesselring (1g-1a), Jackson Green (1g), Luke Fliss (2a), and Ian Erskine (1g).

Scoring for Spencerport (8-3) were Zach Tortora (2g-1a), Trevor Lewis (2g-1a), Jayden Rodriguez (1g-1a), John Choate (2a),  Dylan Lewis (1g), and Jayden Mandarano (1g). In the goal for Spencerport was junior Taylor Kaye with 9s/8ga = 53% (48 mins).     [ BOX SCORE

Schroeder at RHAQUINAS-13 - In a close first half both teams scored four goals, but AQ opened up the scoring in the third quarter with seven goals that made the difference. Leading the scoring for Aquinas (7-3) were Noah Olbrich (4g-2a), Gio Valerie (4g), and Jake Guggino (2g). Facing off for Aquinas Jack Schimmel won 11+/5- = 69%. Leading the scoring for Gananda (6-6) were Drew Smith (6g-2a), Jacob Michaels (3g-4a), and Cohyn Reisman (6g-1a). Sophomore midfielder Jacob Wynne scored his first Varsity goal in the game. Facing off for Gananda was sophomore Alex Galka with 16+/13- = 55%.
