Friday - Pal-Mac, Pittsford, HF-L and Fairport Win
DAY IN REVIEW: FRIDAY - The Class A games resulted in one-goal victories, not so for Class C where there were mismatches tonight. Heading to the finals are Pittsford vs Fairport and Pal-Mac vs HF-L.
PAL-MAC 20 - GENEVA 10 - SEMI - After a 9-4 half, The Red Raiders scored eight goals in the third on their way to the win. Logan Babcock had 6g-1a, Riley Lich had 3g-4a and Damian Knaak added 3g for Pal-Mac (14-1). Face off specialist Quinn Nolan won 28 of 31 draws and scored 6g for the Red Raiders. Geneva saw 4g-1a from Curtis Denison and 3g-3a form Ryan Brown. Geneva finishes their season at 8-10. [BOX SCORE]
WAYNE 7 - HF-L 14 - SEMI - Trevor Reese made 9s (56%) to help the Cougars punch their ticket to the Class C championships. Sophomore attackman Chase Perryman had 7g-2a and David Brassie had 2g-5a while Quinn Kailbourne game up with 3g-2a for HF-L. Sophomore face off specialist Drew Angelo won 18 of 25 faceoffs for the Cougars who will play Pal-Mac on Tuesday. There was no report from Wayne at post time. [BOX SCORE]
McQUAID 7 - FAIRPORT 8 - SEMI - In an exciting game that saw numerous lead changes, McQuaid took a 7-6 lead on a goal by Paul Chiariello in the fourth quarter. Jake Koonman then took the score to 7-7 with 6:04 left in regulation. The rain started up and with 1:29 left Jackson Monte scored the game winner. McQuaid had two shots on Fairport goalie McLean Ralston (11s=^1%) who turned both away and after the second, backhanded the ball to the other end of the field as time expired. Kyle Gould scored 2g and Mitchell Monte has 2g-1a while Joey Giggie won 14 of 19 faceoffs. There was no report from McQuaid Jesuit at post time. The Black Knights end a memorable season at 12-6. PITTSFORD 12 - RUSH-HENRIETTA 11 - SEMI - Despite junior face off specialist Mike Valent`s 21 of 17 wins, the Royal Comets were unable to hold on to several leads as the Panthers scored one extra goal in the third quarter. Luke Fliss (2g-1a) scored what would be the winning goal with 3:52 left in the game. Junior midfielder Ben Steingass led the Panther scoring with 5g-1a and James Cook added 3g. Senior midfielder Chase Petschke had 3g-2a and Tyler Bernarduci had 1g-3a for R-H. [BOX SCORE] - - More images in the photo gallery
