Rising senior Greg Weyl has announced his decision to play lacrosse and study at Mercyhurst University after his graduation next spring.

Off season the Pittsford defenseman plays for the SweetLax club and attended the Best of the Best Tournament, the Phiily Summer Invitational and the Brine National Lacrosse Classic.

At Mercyhurst, he will be expected to play with more than a dozen other Section Five alumni, including other former Pittsford players including Derek Jamison, Ryan Sullivan, Walter Rodenhouse and Stephen Romas.

In the winter, Weyl was named the the All-Greater Rochester Hockey team after scoring 13g-22a to lead the Panthers.
