Just before the end of the quarter, Cal Lambert received an interior feed from Victor at CanandaiguaJack Heredeen to tie the game at 1-1, but that did not last long as Grant received a wing pass from Matt Belles for the go-ahead goal with twenty-two seconds left in the quarter.

The Braves came back two minutes later on a sweep from the left by Spin Blazak to give the Braves a 3-2 lead. The teams were tied again at 3-3 when Seiler received a wing pass from Lambert. The tie lasted twenty seconds as Victor`s Pax Marshall scored right from the faceoff on a pass from Sam Gotham to give the Blue Devils a 4-3 lead.
