New Modified Program in Rochester Inner-City

For the first time, the Rochester City Schools will have a modified lacrosse program. UPrep (University Preparatory) Charter School will have a 7th and 8th grade team this spring.ROC e6

In preparation for the program, ROC E6 and UPrep have planned indoor clinic sessions to introduce many student-athletes to lacrosse for the very first time.

The first introductory session will be Tuesday, October, 30th, 4:00-5:30 PM. After that starting on Wednesday, November 7th, from 4:30-6:00 PM, there will be indoor sessions every Wednesday until the Holiday season. The last 2012 session will be December 19th.

A new 2013 schedule will be established after the Holidays. The sessions will be in an indoor gym. They will be focusing on the basics, cradling, passing and catching, positions, putting on equipment, rules and sportsmanship in Lacrosse. Many in this group will be starting from the beginning, "This is a lacrosse ball and this is a stick".

The clinic needs coaching help, much of which will be one-on-one help that can be easily done by high school students as well as experienced coaches.

Clinics will be held at:

University Preparatory Charter School for Young Men
180 Raines Park - Rochester, NY 14613
