Rush Henrietta scored the final three goals of regulation to force overtime where senior Torry Whitcher scored the game winning goal only 0:50 into the first overtime period and secured the 14-13 win over Gates-Chili. Bishop Kearney scored four goals in the third quarter as they beat Gananda 9-8 this afternoon in Irondequoit. After a close game for over fifteen minutes, Webster Schroeder broke the scoring open and beat the Greece Lightning (Arc/Oly) 16-7 this evening.

 --  Rush Henrietta scored the final three goals of regulation to force overtime where senior Torry Whitcher scored the game winning goal only 0:50 into the first overtime period and secured the 14-13 win over Gates-Chili. The Spartans led by four goals in the second quarter and then by three goals in both the third and fourth quarters.

Jackson Sadowski scored the first goal of the game for R-H only 1:00 into play. Torry Whitcher assisted Sadowski on the opening goal. The Spartans scored two minutes later with an unassisted goal from Grant Ferguson. Whitcher scored his first of his five goals (unassisted) 0:30 later to take the lead back for the Royal Comets. Gates-Chili finished out the opening quarter with three unanswered goals (as well as the first two goals of the second quarter). Steve Eaton, Ferguson and Matt Martin finished out the scoring in the first quarter. Goalie Brian Lane assisted the first goal and Matt Dakin assisted the latter two goals. Both of Dakin's assists happened on man-up goals.

In the second quarter, Dakin continued feeding the ball. He assisted Martin on the first goal and Joe Drabin on the second goal. Gates-Chili led 6-2 with 6:43 remaining in the opening half. RH came back with four goals to tie the game going into halftime. Chauncey Scissum assisted Kenny Pattridge on the first two RH goals of the quarter. The first goal was scored man-down and the second goal was scored man-up. Whitcher added the third and fourth goals for the Royal Comets. The tying goal was scored with 0:10 remaining in the first half.

In the third quarter, Gates Chili came out swinging. Drabin, Ferguson and Martin each added one goal. R-H only scored one goal in the quarter with Whitcher scoring (assisted by Nick Binnert) during man-up with 1:25 remaining in the quarter. Gates-Chili led 9-7 at the conclusion of the third quarter.

The fourth quarter saw ten goals between the two teams. R-H scored the first goal of the quarter with Sadowski scoring only 0:24 into play (assisted by Andrew Tirabassi). Gates-Chili added two quick goals to take a three goal lead again with scoring from Ferguson and Taliento. The teams alternated the next couple goals and with 4:00 remaining in regulation, Gates-Chili scored their final goal with Ferguson assisting Dakin.

Binnert was a key player in the late comeback by the Royal Comets. He scored (unassisted) the first goal with 3:40 remaining and then assisted the last two goals. Scissum scored with 3:14 remaining to bring the game within one goal. Scissum's goal was scored during another man-up attempt. Overall, ten goals were scored during un-even situations. With 1:42 remaining, Pattridge scored his fifth goal of the game to tie the score and force overtime. Whitcher's goal was the second shot for the Royal Comets in overtime.

In the cage for RH, Mark Wagner finished with six saves. Gates-Chili had Brian Lane in the cage for the entire game and he recorded 13 saves, many in dramatic fashion. There was an additional stop by defenseman Steve Hilsdorf during a failed clear that was accredited as a "team save".

 --  Webster Schroeder defeated Greece Arcadia/Olympia 16-7 today. The game stayed close until half way through the second quarter when Schroeder scored ten unanswered goals and 13 out of 14 straight.

The Lightning started the game off with the first goal six minutes into play. Schroeder came back with two quick goals of their own to take the lead with 3:22 remaining. Nick Powell and Tyler Mason scored for the Warriors. The Lightning scored the final goal of the opening quarter when Nick Capone scored with an assisted by Richard Fischer. The score was tied 2-2 after the first quarter.

Greece kept up the pressure early and led 3-2 and 4-3 before Schroeder began their scoring streak. With 6:18 remaining in the first half, Greece led 4-3. Schroeder scored three goals before the end of the half to lead 6-4. In the third quarter, Schroeder scored the first seven goals of the quarter before the Lightning scored the final goal with 0:35 remaining. Dylan Mahan scored (assisted by Robert Kitchen). The score after three quarters was 13-5.

The Warriors scored the first three goals of the final quarter with scoring from Jesse Calkins, Powell and Fischer. Greece Lightning scored the final two goals of the game. In the cage for Schroeder, both Eric Saltrelli and Nick Russo saw time. Saltrelli finished with eight saves and Russo finished with two saves.

 --     Although the Blue Panthers led 2-1 at the end of the first quarter and 5-3 at the half, Bishop Kearney scored four goals in the third quarter, which turned out to be enough as they beat Gananda 9-8 this afternoon in Irondequoit. Junior attackmen Dylan Miller and Andrew Chadwick both scored 3g-2a to lead the Kings (4-4). They will host Haverling tomorrow.

Gananda was led offensively by Trevor Schraffenberger (3g-2a) and Zach O`Connor (2g-1a). Steven Fisher had 15 saves (63%).
