Penfield, Bloomfield-Honeoye Win
In a battle of the winless, it was Bloomfield-Honeoye with their first ever team win (12-4) against Greece Arcadia/Olympia. In other action Penfield beat West Seneca East (Section 6) with a score of 12-2. HF-L was a 17-7 winner over visiting Scotia-Glenville of Section 2.
Penfield 12 - West Seneca East 2
It was a 12-2 victory for Penfield as they hosted West Seneca East (Buffalo).
Scoring for Penfield were Connor Rice (3g-1a), Kyle Denhoff (5g-1a) and 5/7 f/o, Kyle Vanthof (5a) and 4/7 f/o, Gian Maggio (1g), James Dwyer (2g), Kevin Westcott (1g-1a), Toby Terwilliger (2a) and Mike Vacanti 2/2 f/o. Goalie Brady Del Pozzo recorded 4s/2ga (36 mins) and Kyle Semrau added 3s/0ga (12 mins) for Penfield 4-0.
Scoring for West Seneca East were Ethan Murphy (1g), Brian Marrano (1g) and Tyler Strassburg (2a). Jeff Persutti made 15s/12ga for the Trojans (3-2).
HF-L 17 - Scotia-Glenville 7
Scotia-Glenville (Section 2) traveled to HF-L Central School today for a Noon game. They came into the contest with a record of 3-0. The host HF-L Cougars won by a score of 17-7. Face off specialist and senior midfielder, Zach Jonas turned in a season best performance. Zach won 14 of 18 face offs and tallied 8 ground balls in the victory for HF-L. Senior attackman, Zach Whyte scored 3 times and assisted on 2 more, as did midfielder teammate Cade Norris (3g-2a). A total of twelve different players scored for HF-L.
Scoring for the Cougars were Jim Burgasser (1g-1a), Mike Coady (1g), Cade Norris (3g-2a), Tommy O`Leary (2g), Bryan Gardner (1g-1a), Ian Griffin (2g-1a), Mickey Allan (1g), Kevin O`Leary (1g), Greg Coady(1g), Zach Whyte (3g-2a), Jared Hoose (1g) and J.R. O`Flynn (1a). Jay Tallon started in the goal and played the first half, recording 5s/0ga. Chris Milne played the second half allowing 5s/7ga for the HF-L (2-2).
Bloomfield-Honeoye 12 - Arc/Oly 4
First year team Bloomfield-Honeoye won the first game in the brief history when traveling to Arcadia to beat the Greece Lightning 12-4 this morning.
Scoring for Greece Arc/Oly were Frank Slapar (3g) and Dustin Lenz Emmi (1g). Goalie Zach Bevilacqua had 12s/12ga for the Lightning. There was no report from BH.
