US Lacrosse Rochester Hall of Fame Class of 2017
SPORTSFIVE REPORT:
The Greater Rochester Chapter of US Lacrosse held their twenty-fifth Hall of Fame dinner Friday night at the Burgundy Basin Inn in Pittsford.
With more than one hundred and thirty in attendance, teammates, friends and family along with many members of the Hall of Fame, gathered to induct five individuals, and one team into the Greater Rochester Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
Chapter President, Al McLiverty welcomed the fans and families and introduced a dozen current Hall of Fame members is attendance which included, Mike Riorden (2016), Dave Schwind (2014), David Wilbur (2013), Rob Randall (2011), Andrew Gallina (2010),Rich Curtis (2009), Mark Rice (2008), David Moore (2006, Paul Wilson (2005), Al Kierstein (2004), Peter Burkardt (2003) and from the first class, Ernie Lisi (1992).
After dinner President McLiverty introduced US Lacrosse Manager of Membership and Regional Development for he Northeast, Ryan Larkum and thanked him for help from the national level and for making the effort to be at the dinner.
Mike Riorden and Scott Schwind then took over as Masters of Ceremonies. In a change from previous events, inductees gave their speaches without presenters as the audience reviewed their accomplishments in the program (available here).
Patrick Dutton
Player: Webster High School - Cornell University / Player / Coach
Highlights:
- Two year Cornell Captain.
- First team All Ivy League in 1998 and 1999.
- USILA All-American.
- Cornell MVP in 1997.
- North/South game player.
- MLL player for NJ Pride and Rochester Rattlers.
- NLL player for Rochester Knighthawks (2005-2007).
- Founder of Next Level lacrosse camps.
- Assistant Coach at Cornell (2003-2004).
- Cornell Hall of Fame in 2011.
Carlton J. Ferris
Player at Hobart College / Official
Highlights:
- Hobart College attackman 1934-1937.
- MVP at Hobart in 1936 and 1937.
- All American in 1935 (HM) and 1936-1937 (First Team).
- Played on American team vs Canada in 1936 and England in 1937.
- North/South game in 1936.
- Record of 9 goals vs Syracuse stood from 1937-1954.
- Helped to begin lacrosse at Geneva High School.
- Officiated for eight years.
- Member of US Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1971.
Carl passed away in 1988. Accepting for him was his grandson, Michael Ferris.
Donald C. Wright
Player: Irondequoit and Ohio Wesleyan / Coach
Highlights:
- Irondequoit High School 1964-1967.
- Two time All Upstate Team.
- Ohio Wesleyan 1967-1971.
- Ohio Wesleyan Captain 1971.
- All Midwest team 1971.
- Coach at Ohio Wesleyan 1972.
- Coach at Irondequoit 1973, 1975-2006.
- Record at Irondequoit: 504 wins and 122 losses.
- Record at Irondequoit:26 All Americans.
- Record at Irondequoit:12 Section V titles.
Hilary Bowen

Highlights:
- Played at Brighton 2002-2005: Four time All League (MC) - Two time Co-Player of the Year - Three time All American and All Academic.
- Played at Northwestern 2006-2009: Four time starter on NCAA Championship teams - Three time NCAA All Tournament Team - Two time NCAA tournament Most Outstanding Player - Three time NCAA Championship MVP - COSIDA At-Large Academic All-American of the Year (2005).
- Assistant Coach at Mt. St. Mary's University (2010) - University of Southern California (2011-2014).
- Head Coach at Roosevelt High School in Seatlle (2014-2015) - Academy of Arts and Sciences (2016 - present).
- Director of Girls Lacrosse CitySideLAx (Seattle (2014-present).

Timothy Pease

Highlights:
- Founded and coordinated the Irondequoit Invitational for twenty years.
- Founding board member of the Rochester Chapter of US Lacrosse.
- Coached boys and girls lacrosse at Irondequoit for over fifteen years.
- Irondequoit Lacrosse Booster Club member for over ten years.
- Lacrosse player for thirty-six years.
