Victor Moves On to the Championship

DAY IN REVIEW: FRIDAY - The Victor Blue Devils are on their way to the New York State Championships and will face the returning Champs from Garden City at 12:30 PM at Hofstra University on Sunday.

WEST GENESEE-9 at VICTOR-20 in a NYS Semifinal game - Victor scored six goals in the first quarter and led at the half 13-4. It was the first meeting between the Blue Devils and West Genesee (13-7). Victor will advance to play Garden City on Sunday. There was no report available due to travel from Victor and this report will be updated when it comes in.    [ BOX SCORE

Jamesville-DeWitt-13 at HFL-5 in a NYS Semifinal game - The Cougars were very much in this game that started saw them down 6-4 after the first quarter but able to score only one more goal in the next three quarters. The Rams scored in three goal spurts four times in the game. Junior face off midfielder Drew Angelo reached his 800th faceoff wins with his 11 wins in this game. Leading the scoring for HFL (15-5) were Chase Perryman (1g-2a), Angelo (3g), Grady Goodberlet (1g), Braydn Trybuskiewicz (1g), and Mathew Brassie (1g).

MARCELLUS-7 at PENN YAN-6 in a NYS Semifinal game -In another close game that went right down to the last minute, Penn Yan saw Carter Earl score a tying goal (6-6) with 1:09 left in the game, only to have Doryn LeClair come right from the face off and score what became the winning goal just eight seconds later.

Scoring for Penn Yan (13-8) were Teagan Fingar (1g-2a), Bryant VanHousen (1g-1a),Earl (1g), Tukker Fisher (1g), Frank Ochoa (1g), Caden Dixon (1g), and Braden Fingar (1a). In the goal for Penn Yan was sophomore Will Thompson with 10s/7ga = 59% (48 mins). Thompson reached his 200th save in the game.

BALDWINSVILLE-7 at PITTSFORD-6 in a NYS Semifinal game - In a close game throughout the Panthers found themselves down one in the first quarter and fought back the rest of the game to get that goal back. The Bees led 2-1 after the first and led 3-2 at the half. They picked up one more in the third quarter but Pittsford got it back in the last quarter. There was no report available due to travel from Pittsford and this report will be updated when it comes in.
