Thursday: Gates Chili Wins in 3 Overtimes

DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - There was only one close game out of the twelve played today and Gates Chili used three overtime periods to get their first win of the season, Canandaigua handed Orchard Park their first loss of the season with their 12-6 win. Aquinas was a winner at Schroeder and Marcus Whitman had a win when they played Newark.

AQ at SchroederAQUINAS-12 at SCHROEDER-6 - Aquinas had a 4-1 led at the end of the first and then led 7-3 at the half although Schroeder seemed to stay with the Lil Irish until the third quarter when AQ scored three unanswered goals. Scoring for Aquinas (5-1) were Tano Auriuso (4g-2a), Gio Valerie (3g-1a), Carter Wegman (3g-1a), Jake Guggino (1g-1a), and  Drew Eddy (1g-2a). Facing off was Wegman with 12+/10- = 55% and in the goal was freshman Jake Gibson with 10s/3ga = 77% (24 mins).

PAL-MAC-15 at MIDLAKES-RED JACKET-1 -  Keagan Hoesterey reached his 50th goal with his 2 goals (51g) while senior midfielder Jacob Maier scored his first Varsity goal for the Red Raiders. Eight different players scored for Pal-Mac who will be at Gananda on Saturday. Leading the scoring for Pal-Mac (3-2) were Mike Halsey (3g-7a), Devon McKoy (2g-2a), Keagan Hoesterey (2g-2a), and 8th grader Nathaniel McKinney (2g-1a). In the goal for Pal-Mac was junior Peyton Lich with 3s/1ga = 75% (48 mins).

SPENCERPORT-11 at HILTON-5 - The Rangers scored the first four goals of the game and Hilton's Brandon Pike scored at the first buzzer to give Spencerport a 4-1 lead which they advanced to a 7-1 half at Hilton tonight. Scoring for Spencerport (6-1) were Zach Tortora (2g-3a), Cameron Mesh (3g), Trevor Lewis (3g), Jayden Rodriguez (1g-2a), and Jayden Mandarano (2g). Cameron Mesh faced off and recorded 12+/7- = 63%. Goalie Taylor Kaye had  8s/5ga = 62% (48 mins).

AQ at SchroederGREECE STORM-12 at BATAVIA-NOTRE DAME-0 -  Nine different players made the offensive book for the Storm including four who scored their first Varsity goal. They were sophomore midfielders Brandon Rodriguez, Jacob Strebel,  Jackson Rohr and freshman midfielder Jackson Pioli. Junior A/M Andrew Hill reached his 50th goal with his three goals (now 52g). Some others scoring for the Storm (2-4) were Matthew Ranalletta (1g-2a), Noah Kozak (2g), and Aiden Early (1g). Facing off for Greece Storm were Eric Odell with 8+/2- = 80%, Blake Morgan with 2+/0- = 100%, and Carter Fabian with 2+/1- = 67%. In the goal for Greece Storm was junior Jonathan Bucciarelli with 8s/0ga = 100% (24 mins), and senior Esteban Valle Vergara with 4s/0ga = 100% (24 mins).

ORCHARD PARK-6 at CANANDAIGUA-12 - The Braves ended the undefeated season hopes for Orchard Park while maintaining their own perfect record (8-0) and breaking their streak of one-goal wins. 8th grade attackman Marshall Bolster and junior midfielder Jack Tanoory scored their first Varsity goals in the game that saw CA up 9-5 at the half. Leading the scoring for Canandaigua were Drew Williamee (3g-1a), Braden Gioseffi (3g), Alex Rheude (1g-2a), and Nate Sheridan (2g). Facing off for Canandaigua was Mason DePew with 19+/3- = 86%.  There was no information available for Orchard Park (4-1) at post-time.    [ BOX SCORE

C-C at PYCHURCHVILLE-CHILI-8 at PENN YAN-13 - The Saints kept it close in the first half with the Mustangs up 3-2 in the first quarter and 6-4 at the half but in the second half Penn Yan scored seven more for the win. Leading the scoring for Penn Yan (4-3) were Teagan Fingar (4g-4a), Carter Earl (2g-2a), and Braden Fingar (2g-1a). In the goal was Will Thompson with 10s/8ga = 56% (48 mins). Penn Yan is at Haverling on Wednesday.

Scoring for Churchville-Chili (0-7) were Colin Duncan (3g-2a), Dominic Hoch (1g-2a), Sean Levey (3g), and Jaxon Leonard (1g-1a). Facing off for Churchville-Chili was senior Sean Levey with 11+/4- = 73%.    [ BOX SCORE

BISHOP KEARNEY-20 at HAVERLING-10 - BK defeated Haverling for the first time in twelve outings as they took a 9-5 lead at the half and then scored seven more in the third quarter. Freshman midfielder Zach Colegrove scored his first Varsity goal for the Rams in this game. Scoring for Haverling (0-5) were Gavin Price (3g-2a), Maclain Wright (4g), Drew Spears (1g-3a), and Zach Colegrove (2g). In the goal for Haverling was freshman McLane Stermole with 26s/20ga = 57% (48 mins).  

According to a report from Haverling, Owen King scored 9g-2a and Dom Siesto added 6g-4a but there was no report from Bishop Kearney (1-2) at post-time.    [ BOX SCORE

C-C at PYRUSH-HENRIETTA-13 at LIVONIA-AVON-4 - The Royal Comets scored eight unanswered goals in the first half, taking an 8-0 lead and then took their foot off the pedal at Livonia tonight. Leading the scoring for Rush-Henrietta (3-2) were Cody Coleman (2g-2a), Mike Valent (4g), Jett Richardsen (2g-2a), and Tyler Bernarduci (1g-2a). Facing off were freshman Preston Jackson with 5+/1- = 83%, and senior Mike Valent with 13+/0- = 100%. VICTOR-14 at THOMAS-4 - Victor senior face off midfielder Sam Ricci reached his 400th faceoff wins with his 18+/3- = 86%. (now 409 wins). Leading the scoring for Victor (5-1) were Thomas Gravino (6g), Jack Herendeen (1g-4a), and Kyle Saeger (2g-2a). Victor is at Jamesville DeWitt on Saturday.

Facing off were Jeremy Askin with 12+/1- = 92%, DeSean Bruce with 2+/0- = 100%, and Leo Cohrs with 2+/1- = 67%. In the goal for Geneva was junior Dakota Bajdas with 3s/2ga = 60% (48 mins).

Brockport had a 3-2 lead at the half, but the Spartans tied it up in the third quarter and both teams scored a single goal in the fourth. Scoring for Gates Chili (1-6) were Oliver Sunday (3g), Owen Curley (2g-1a), Gianni Salandy (1a), and Jory Knauf (1g).
