Junior midfielder Patrick Mitchell has announced his decision to continue his education and play lacrosse at Canisius College. The Churchville-Chili junior will start this season with a career record of 56g-29a and 119 groundballs. In his sophomore year he recorded 35g-26a and was named to the first team All League list (MC-d2).

The Griffins are an NCAA Division I team playing Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Current Section V alumni include Brady D`Hont (Penfield), Anthony Pezzimenti (Victor) and Jacob Buck (Churchville-Chili) who was named MAAC Rookie of the Year last season when Canisius went 8-8.
