Fairport sophomore defenseman, Michael Kozar, announced this week that he has made a verbal commitment to attend and play lacrosse at SUNY Albany after his graduation in 2017.

After playing for the Red Raiders as a freshman last year, he played with the SweetLax Lacrosse Club during the summer. He played in the Adrenaline Platinum Cup, Big4, Crabfest and SweetLax tournaments.

Before committing to Albany, he considered Syracuse, Richmond and Loyola.

Head Coach Scott Marr has assembled a host of players from Section Five. The 2015 roster includes Tyler Aycock (Pittsford), James Burdette (Penn Yan), Joe Eddinger (Canandaigua), John Maloney (Victor), Blaze Riorden (Fairport), Mitch Rupp (Victor) and Connor Russell (Penfield).
