Midlakes Takes Newark 10-7

2015-04-30 - Newark at Midlakes

NOTES: Although Newark took a 3-1 lead at the end of the first quarter and led at the half 6-4, Midlakes came back in the second half, outscoring Newark 6-1 for a 10-7 win for the Eagles. Senior midfielder Chris Goodman (4g-1a) scored the tying goal on a pass from senior attackman Jeshurun Eldridge with six minutes left in the game. Less than two minutes later senior attackman Alex Holt scored the go-ahead goal on a feed from Matt Vandamme.

With possession and under two minutes left, Goodman drove to the cage, scoring an unassisted goal and after winning the face off Holt drove from behind the cage for the 10-7 win for the Eagles.
