2014-05-05 - Williamsville North (Section 6) started off strong with the first three goals, but Spencerport fought back with a four goal run followed by a five goal run in their 16-14 win over the Spartans. Spencerport was trailing by two (7-5) with 8:14 remaining in the second quarter before they started their first run. Jeremy Powers, Jordan Swilley, Ryan Schirano and Kasey Olsen scored for the Rangers to give them the two goal lead with 4:09 remaining in the second quarter.

The Rangers led by one going into halftime. In the third quarter the game started back and forth and Williamsville tied the game at 10-10 with 9:27 remaining in the third quarter. Spencerport scored the next five goals to take a 15-10 lead early in the fourth quarter. Three of the five goals were scored by Colin McElligott. McElligott finished with 5g-1a for the Rangers. Williamsville fought back in the final quarter, but the Rangers held off the late press.

At the face-off draw, Andrew Forte finished 17/24 (71%) for the Rangers. He also led in ground balls with 14. Goalie Connor MacKenzie and midfielder Jordan Swilley both added another five ground balls to the count. MacKenzie finished with 9 saves between the pipes.
