Geneva Move On To Semifinals

- Geneva advanced to the Section 5 Quarterfinals with a strong 21-7 win over Newark on May 27. Seven different players contributed goals for Geneva, with Ryland Dunham and Jack Dunham each netting five. Max Heieck added four goals and three assists, while Ben Budgar chipped in with three goals and one assist. Other contributors included Max Delgado (two goals, one assist), Owen Devaney (one goal, two assists), and Jacob D’Amico (one goal). Geneva goalie Brent Williams recorded five saves on eight shots for a 63% save rate in 24 minutes, while Owen Marquart stopped four shots on eight attempts in equal time.

Newark saw Sam Underhill lead the scoring with four goals and one assist. Evan Shulla contributed two goals and two assists, and Cameron Baker added one goal. Newark goalkeeper Carter Bumpus faced heavy pressure, making 16 saves in the full 48-minute game. Geneva controlled the faceoff circle, with Alex Pesante winning 21 of 24 attempts and Max Delgado securing three of four.
