Canandaigua won 12-11 in overtime against Irondequoit in the Class B semifinals. Drew Williamee led with three goals and two assists, including the game-winner, while Patrick Olvany and Jack Stanney each scored three times. Junior goalie Quentin Shedrick entered late in the third quarter and made eight saves, shutting out Irondequoit in the fourth. Cooper Moore led Irondequoit with six goals. After trailing 11-8 heading into the fourth, Canandaigua scored three times to force overtime, where Williamee sealed the victory. Canandaigua will play second-seeded Victor in the final on June 2nd on Tuesday.

Canandaigua defeated Gates Chili 19-3, extending their undefeated season. Ryan Bremer led the scoring with four goals and two assists, and eleven players contributed to the offense. Gates Chili’s three goals came from Callaway Phommachanh, Joshua Yakowitz, and Michael Alley. Canandaigua’s faceoff team had a strong showing, led by Mason DePew at 89%. Goaltender Evan Scibelli recorded a 75% save rate in his time in net. Canandaigua now prepares for their upcoming game against Brockport, while Gates Chili will face HFL.

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were thirteen games played today and five were close ones. Pittsford was a 8-6 winner over Penfield. Marcus Whitman defeated Brockport by a score of 4-2. Newark was a 8-7 winner over Bloomfield-Honeoye in double overtime. Brighton defeated Thomas by a score of 9-7.  Haverling defeated Bishop Kearney by a score of 10-9 and gave Head Coach Ken DiDomineck his 150th win.
