# 2187  Thursday: Brighton, Livonia and Pittsford Win

Brighton continued their unbeaten streak (7-0) with a 13-11 win over visiting Hilton. Pittsford scored the first two goals and went on to beat Aquinas 11-7. Livonia beat visiting Rush-Henrietta in a high scoring game, 17-14. Other winners today included Geneva, HFL, and McQuaid Jesuit.

Canandaigua continues it's winning streak (27 games) with it's 9-4 win over Schroeder. Rush-Henrietta scored six goals in the first quarter and eight in the last for their 17-9 win over Churchville-Chili.

Thirteen games were played in Section Five today. Fairport was a 15-6 winner over visiting Thomas and Pittsford defeated visiting Irondequoit 11-5. In other action Livonia won their game with Haverling in overtime, McQuaid Jesuit beat Aquinas 13-8 and Churchville-Chili beat Hilton in a close one (9-7).

here were two upsets in the Class A out bracket as the 12th seeded Gates Chili beat the 5th seeded Brockport and the 9th seeded Hilton upset the 8th seeded Rush-Henrietta. Schroeder, Churchville and penfield all won their games as seeded. In Class C all the higher seeded teams won. Moving on are Batavia, Geneva, Midlakes, Haverling and Pal-Mac.

Canandaigua was a won goal winner over Geneva (6-5). Spencerport won their game with Brockport in overtime (11-10). Pal-Mac beat B-H by one (7-6) and Midlakes, Penfield, Waterloo, Fairport, Batavia, Irondequoit, Brighton and Thomas were all winners in the last week of the regular season.

There were six games games on Tuesday. Brighton, who did not win a game in 2008, is now 2-0 after their 9-5 win over visiting Eastridge. Marcus Whitman, playing their first Varsity game in school history, was leading 6-2 before the Greece Lightning came back and won 8-6.
