Canandaigua midfielder Steve Smith and Geneva defenseman, Craig McDonald were named to the All America team. Geneva senior attackman, Luke Bonney was name Academic All American. # 1559 Saturday: Penfield Survives Close Call Canandaigua and Penfield remained undefeated in Section Five and are among only seven teams statewide to have perfect records. Penfield had a close call with a comeback win against host Fairport, 9-8, and Canandaigua had no trouble in their 19-7 victory over Newark. Livonia had an overtime win against McQuaid Jesuit as they won 5-4. |
# 1556 Monday: Canandaigua ! It was an incredible game of undefeated league teams, with well over 600 people in attendance at Penn Yan Academy and the "true lacrosse fans" were not disappointed in a thrilling game played by great competitors. |
