Players of the Week - April 26, 2016
The Players of the Week awards winners this week are a senior goalie from Penn Yan and a junior offensiveman from Wayne Central.
Offensive Player of the Week
Cooper Pieroni
Wayne Central junior attack/midfielder Cooper Pieroni scored six goals/1 assist including the overtime game winner as the Eagles maintained their undefeated record (6-0) by defeating Gananda 15-14.
Eagles first year Head Coach Eric Carlsen says, "Cooper has been working very hard to be a better lacrosse player. With diligent, persistent effort he has pushed himself to become a better finisher and a more well-rounded lacrosse player.
In his second year on the Varsity he has seventeen of his twenty-nine career points.

Defensive Player of the Week
Gage Ponsetti
In his fourth year on the varsity, senior goalie, Gage Ponsetti has played over 1,300 minutes in the goal for the Mustangs and has made over 230 saves. He has a big night last week when he recorded fourteen saves (74%) while allowing only five goals when Penn Yan defeated Canandaigua 9-5.
Head Coach Brian Hobart says, "Gage works very hard at his craft, he is a team leader and an outstanding goalie. He had a fantastic game helping us to the win."
