Penfield Rolls Past Kenmore 18-6, Schembri Joins 200-Win Club

PENFIELD-18 at KENMORE-6  - Penfield wasted no time Thursday night, erupting for eight first-quarter goals to put the game out of reach early and cruise to an 18-6 non-league victory over Kenmore at Williamsville North. The Patriots extended their winning streak to five games and improved to 15-4 on the season.

Griffin Banister led the way with two goals and three assists, while Nick Dicataldo added three goals and an assist and Ewan McCormick contributed two goals and an assist in his first varsity assist. Eleven different players scored for Penfield, a testament to the team's depth, and Will Taddeo dominated the faceoff circle at 92%, surpassing 100 career faceoff wins in the process.

The evening also featured a pair of personal milestones. Defensive midfielder George Marron scored his first career varsity goal, and head coach John Schembri earned his 200th career victory, joining a select group of coaches in that exclusive club.
