O'Brien's OT Winner Lifts McQuaid Past Hilton
HILTON-7 at MCQUAID JESUIT-8 in overtime - Senior Aidan O'Brien scored the overtime winner Monday night as McQuaid Jesuit edged Hilton 8-7 in a non-league game, erasing a seven-goal deficit in the process. Hilton led 6-5 after three quarters before McQuaid outscored the Cadets two to one in the fourth and then won it in overtime.
For McQuaid Jesuit (10-5), O'Brien finished with two goals and an assist, while junior John Burrows and sophomore Dominic Camarella each added two goals and two assists. Senior Domenic Giangreco and sophomore Bryce Pitt each chipped in a goal. Junior goalie Jackson Paladino made 11 saves for a 61% efficiency rate.
For Hilton (13-3), sophomore Cahlan Smith led with two goals, with a goal and an assist each from junior Gianluca Auriuso, junior Tyler Reger, and sophomore Drew Brien, who reached his 50th career assist on the night. Freshman Max Bell added a goal. Sophomore goalie Brendan Maxwell made eight saves, posting a 50% save rate.
