Waterloo Earns First Win
WATERLOO-20 at GANANDA-2 - Waterloo picked up its first win of the season with a 20-2 tournament victory at Gananda on Tuesday evening, with eight different players scoring for the Wolverines. The win was a team milestone, and it also featured a wave of individual first-time varsity points.
For Waterloo (1-5), sophomore Drake Alger and sophomore Jaidyn Ellison each led with four goals, with Alger adding three assists and Ellison two. Senior Walter Bennett added two goals and four assists, and freshman Gavin Jacobsen contributed two goals and two assists. Junior Trevor Bush chipped in three goals, sophomore Xavier Brown added two goals and one assist, and senior Kyle Shangraw added two goals and one assist. First varsity goals went to Bennett, Jacobsen, Bush, and Brown, and sophomore Kayden Zona scored one goal and picked up his first varsity assist.
